Join us for a relaxing BBQ at the beach. Hamburgers, chicken, salads, snacks and soda provided. BYOB. Beach chairs recommended. Lunch will be served approximately 1:00.
Previous year's barbecues have each been a great success so come and join us, talk story, play Portuguese horse shoes and for those of you who want to go swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking, bring your stuff.
All are welcome. $5 per person will help cover the cost of food and soft drinks.

Entrance to Hokul’ia Development coming from Ali' iDrive
Go past Keauhou Shopping Center to the end of Ali’I Drive and continue straight south. Go approximately three miles and turn right (makai) at the end of the bypass intersection and proceed to a security gate (name should be on a waiver list). Continue towards the beach using the shoreline access signs. (Do not turn left in to the club house drive). Follow pavement until it turns to gravel, look for sign that says ‘KAINALIU KULEANA ACCESS" and go right. Follow road through kiawe trees and dirt road till you come to a pipe gate. At the gate turn left ad follow driveway to Thompson’s property.
Entrance to Hokuli’a Development via Haleki'i Street:
Haleki’i is in Kealakekua at a major stop light with Tesoro gas station on the makai side of the road. At the stop light go down Haleki’i Street to the junction with the Hokuli'a Bypass. Continue straight (makai) until you get to the security hut (name should be on a waiver list). From security hut go down hill following shoreline access signs. (Head toward the beach) once the pavement ends and turns to gravel, follow gravel road to a sign that says "KAINALIU KULEANA ACCESS" and turn right. Follow gravel road through the kiawe trees and dirt road till you come to a pipe gate. Go through the pipe gate, turn left and follow driveway to Thompson’s property.
