The Kona Coffee Council is a volunteer, non-profit community-based organization of coffee farmers, processors and others involved in the coffee industry. It began in 1985 with the mission to promote and protect and educate about 100% Kona Coffee.

We offer educational courses for our members on all aspects of coffee cultivation; produce the cupping competition for the annual Kona Coffee Festival held each November; promote Kona Coffee at trade shows; host farm and mill tours for visiting farmers, roasters, processors and tourists; and represent the Kona Coffee Industry at the statewide level via our membership in the Hawaii Coffee Association.

The Kona Coffee Council has an Estate Program to help promote the increasing number of estate-label coffee producers. We also run a Seal of Approval program, open to all members of any size who sell 100% Kona Coffee.

Members that ship coffee can sign up for a valuable discount from Federal Express.  This discount is among the best that FedEx offers anywhere.  You must be a current member to receive this discount.

Membership is available to farmers/processors and to associates (roasters, buyers, coffee shops, etc). A one-year membership is only $35.00. All proceeds go to support the Kona Coffee Industry.
